The Kings Grant neighborhood was settled by one of Weston's founding families and went on to become the biggest dairy farm in the area and a center of commerce and early town life. In the 1950s, the farm was purchased by the Techbuilt Corporation of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and become an early example of modular postwar modern home design featuring an emphasis on flexible, open living spaces and abundant windows.
The homes were the culmination of decades of work by Harvard-educated architect Carl Koch, a legend in modern design, and are still highly regarded more than 60 years after their inception.
Continuing the tradition of innovative modern design and construction, Meyer Homes Inc. is bringing luxury and quality modern architecture to the Kings Grant neighborhood.

"During his high school summers growing up, Craig Meyer worked at his father’s civil engineering company. He learned to draft grading, drainage and utility plans for real estate developments of all kinds. He also began to see a way to combine his love for the outdoors with an understanding of how to develop land to create a sense of place.
After college while working his first job, Craig renovated an old house he had purchased. Working nights and weekends on the house, he enjoyed reviving the moldings and architectural details of the old home. He became hooked by the charm of beautiful homes.
Several years later, he started a homebuilding company and designed his first home with his brother. They worked all night long for weeks because that was the only time of day the first CAD computers in his father’s business were not in use. What that first home lacked in professional design it gained in Craig’s attention to the details that go into crafting fine homes.
Today, over 27 years later, Meyer Homes has built six subdivisions and numerous custom homes in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine. Craig has been honored as the “Builder of the Year” in Greater Boston, has won awards for design and construction in Connecticut and Massachusetts, has built and sponsored a Designer Show Home for the benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and has served as the President of the Builder’s Association of Greater Boston. Under Craig’s guidance, Meyer Homes’ dedication to excellence has made it a leader in the homebuilding industry in greater Boston and beyond."
